Norwegian police arrested over 10 persons involved in sale of doping products


Norwegian police officers have busted a huge doping ring. Over 10 individuals linked with illegal operations were arrested. Six persons were sentenced to imprisonment.
According to statements of the newspaper Dagens N?ringsliv (DN), the doping ring was located in Trondheim. DN provided own investigation linked with illicit distribution of anabolic steroids in Norway. Police investigated the case.
It is supposed that a secret center is located in Trondheim. It controls illicit sale of doping products and money laundering.
The arrested individuals were connected with bodybuilding, fitness and health industries in Norway. Certain individuals were arrested at their homes; others – in business offices, parking lots and tram stops.
Police officers suppose that several persons are masked by the names of Guru and Karma.
Robert Eilertsen is included in those who have been arrested. He is an operator and editor of a fitness blog. This person coached famous sportspersons within football, boxing, handball, etc.
It is suggested that Eilertsen and some other persons have provided dangerous performance-enhancing drugs to Norwegian youth during some years.
About 60 police officers were implicated in raids. The raids resulted in 11 arrests.
Since the investigation has not been finished, police officers don’t report about their further actions.
Norwegian customs officers and tax authorities were also involved in the investigation.
Numerous computers and some documents were confiscated during raids of homes, business officers, cars, etc.
Eilertsen and Gunnar Strand Jacobsen, another arrested man, have denied their links with doping products. Jacobsen is the owner of Kaliber Gym in Trondheim, one of the most trusted gyms in Norway. Jacobsen was personal trainer of sportspersons that obtained prizes. He coached athletes that attended to different sports. Jacobsen is considered to be a high-qualified nutrition expert.
The raid was called “Operation Gilde”.
Eilertsen and Jacobsen are accused in sale of doping products and money laundering.

Legal business masked profits obtained due to illegal sale of steroids and sex stimulants


Spain’s police arrested Scott Boote, a person, who was implicated in illegal actions connected with a multinational drug ring producing stimulants that increase sexual desire. Large measures of preparations were seized by police officials. It was estimated the street value of these products. It was affirmed that it was almost ?3 million. A Briton, a 72-year-old man from Liverpool, was also questioned. According to affirmations of police officers, these two persons manufactured 8 new sexual stimulants and offered them for sale via internet without medical controls. Six other persons were also questioned during this investigation. Investigators confirmed that the individuals who were implicated in this illegal drug ring bought vehicles and another property due to distribution of illicit sexual preparations. Several bank accounts were blocked by police. More than 100,000 dosages of anabolic steroids, properties and vehicles were seized.
A spokesperson for Spanish police confirmed that all members of the drug ring lived very luxuriously. They possess many properties and luxury cars. They got properties abroad in order to hide the illicit business. Investigators defined that the ring sold sexual drugs for both males and females. The drugs were sold per internet. Individuals from around the world could buy the medications. Thus, people from the USA, the UK, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. were customers that acquired drugs from this ring. Three factories functioned in Costa del Sol. Police officers believe that those that were manufacturing the medicines didn’t possess required knowledge for this purpose. According to them, the persons who were involved in the drug ring managed also legitimate business in order to hide the illicit one. They put efforts to give legitimate appearance to illicit actions. Other commercial companies masked the profits obtained from the illegal drug ring.
Boxes that had to be sent to customers were also found by police. Anabolic steroids were also included in the drugs seized by law enforcement officers. The arrested persons also possessed packages, labels and leaflets.
