Melky Cabrera has great success in professional baseball

Usage of anabolic steroids and some other drugs is banned in many sports organizations, including the Major League Baseball (MLB). Sportspersons that are caught applying banned substances are sentenced to bans, fines, etc. Although sportspersons know about these conditions, many of them continue using anabolic steroids and/or other forbidden substances. As a result, certain athletes spoil their athletic reputation wholly. Nonetheless, several sportspeople succeed, if even they violate anti-doping rules.
Let take the Dominican baseball player Melky Cabrera as an example. He played baseball for San Francisco Giants. Melky Cabrera was claimed to be one of the best baseball players. It was believed that he induced winning obviously. But after he tested positive for a steroid, he was suspended.
Melky Cabrera put efforts to modify the decision and appealed it. He claimed that a dietary supplement caused his positive. Several persons wanted to help him in that situation. So, a fake website was created. An advertisement for non-existing supplement was posted. But the cheat was unmasked. The athlete had to serve the suspension.
While he served the ban, the San Francisco Giants realized that they could win without him.
Recently the Dominican baseball player obtained a $16 million contract. Melky Cabrera will play for the Toronto Blue Jays.
 As you see, intake of steroids couldn’t destruct the athletic career of the Dominican baseball player. He continues to play baseball professionally and earn essential sums of money.
This is just an example which manifests that usage of forbidden medications doesn’t affect athletic careers in some situations.
