Lance Armstrong’s doping case makes changes in attitudes to anti-doping systems

Great changes occurred in certain types of sports after the USADA publicized its report on the famous cyclist Lance Armstrong. The well-known American cyclist was applying anabolic steroids and other related preparations throughout the entire athletic career but he never tested positive for any banned substance. He utilized certain efficient ways to prevent detection. Nevertheless, finally he was found guilty of doping.
Lance Armstrong’s doping case has manifested that anti-doping programs failed. Thus, they must be altered. Otherwise, competitions will not be fair. We’ll never distinguish real sports stars.
These aspects influenced not only on cycling but also on other sports. Some sports organizations claimed that anti-doping policies should be changed in order to catch those that administer anabolic steroids and/or other related preparations.
Not only anti-doping agencies but also sportspeople believe that anti-doping policies must be modified. Some sportspersons desire to be sure that their sport is clean. For example, several tennis players confirm that more drug testing should be conducted in tennis. It is important to note that such tennis stars, as Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Andy Murray, believe that anti-doping program is not quite efficient in tennis. They affirm that more drug testing is required in order to assure that tennis is free of doping.
The World №1 tennis player Novak Djokovic stated that he would submit to more drug testing in order to induce cleaning tennis of dopers.
The Swiss tennis player Roger Federer also affirmed that more tests for prohibited drugs should take place in tennis. He mentioned that earlier he was subjected to more tests. Then the number of tests became more reduced in tennis.
When it comes to the World №3 tennis player Andy Muray, he said that more out-of-competition testing should be conducted. While tennis players are always subjected to drug testing during competitions, they are not tested frequently while being not in competitions.
